Hi Stanford, :text-welcomewave: to Talk Quesada!

Ciudad Quesada and the surrounding areas are safe places to live, compared to many other parts of Europe and even the UK, but it is worth being aware of certain security issues and taking precautions.

We have a topic on tips for moving into your new property here:

Virtually every crime I have heard about here are opportunistic. People leaving the back door open when sunbathing out the front, for example and leaving bicycles outside at night (those chains are quite easy to cut through). Or leaving bags on the floor in a bar when they go to the loo etc. I know it's horrible when it happens but many of these so-called secure communities are very easy for a young crim to get into. New builds were particularly prone as owners didn't change the locks and people working on the sites (casual labour in the main) had access to the keys.

General crime levels in Spain are much lower and especially so in the Quesada area. As marclif says, mostly opportunistic and generally due to people not thinking or being in "holiday mode" and doing things they wouldnt dream of doing in the UK. Even then, levels of this tupe of crime are lower here. Violent crime or crimes against you as a person are extremely low and I would say that regardless of which area of the UK you are from, you will feel considerably safer walking around even late at night here

Totally agree with the comments above. I have been out & about early morning & very late at night during darkness & have never felt threatened
or in any sort of danger, ever. As has been mentioned, be aware of what access opportunistic thieves have to your property whilst you are dozing on your sun loungers and keep keys, documents & valuables out of sight & secure. Whilst out & about keep things attached to you or in very close sight. Apart from that, it's a doddle. :)

I understand about security and I am agree with the comments about. Im spanish and I know how its work around here.
Just be carefull with people working in your house and who is coming in. Don´t have may values things in the house and just the normal cautions you have in your own place.
About security in the street. There is not a problem at all. Just carefull in the supermarke when you are putting your shooping in the car and someone is coming to help you.
If any one need more information. It will be a pleasure to inform in all the ways.
