Any pros or cons of having NIE in photocopy form?

Just been contacted by our lawyer to advise our nie cards are ready for uplift,they also asked if we wished to have the original document or a photo copy,should have asked at the time does a photo copy have any advantages / disadvantages.
Anyone know of any issue using a copy doc.

You'll find you need to show your originals even though you may also need copies. That's my experience.

Very true. If you are buying a car for example, trafico will want to see the original before they update ownership documents. The original has a blue stamp on it. Take several photo copies of the original then keep it safe (or let your solicitor keep it safe for you, then collect it as you need it).

For a legally acceptable copy of anything, go to a Notario and get a legal copy. They will photocopy it, stick a stamp on it, stamp the stamp etc... and finally sign it. The stamp says that it certifies that this is a true copy of the original. I have my NIE, Passport etc and other documents copied this way and never had a problem with it.
