Lothian Pension Scheme is a Private Investment Fund and used by Local Government in parts of Scotland to provide a pension fund but is not as far as I can find out on the UK Tax office list

The above information from jpeg is incorrect. Lothian Pension Scheme is a Local Govt Pension Scheme and therefore taxable in the UK.
I have a UK state pension, Local Govt Pension and 2 small private pensions all of which are taxed in UK

I am sorry Ron Hill but, other than your Local Government Pension, the other pensions you receive are most certainly taxable only in Spain. Your Local Government pension must be declared on your Spanish tax return as exempt income. That is, of course if you are a fiscal resident in Spain.

Please see a thread I started earlier in the year.

When people make these type of posts, I think it's important to be explicit about whether they are Non-Resident or Resident, otherwise the responses can be confusing. If Angela and Stuart are planning to be Resident, i.e. living in Spain for 183 days or more in any one Spanish tax year (which runs from 1st January to 31st December), they will have to make tax declarations in Spain, even if tax on the Local Government pension is paid in the UK and offset against their Spanish tax return.

Similarly, members giving examples by way of response also need to state their fiscal residency - if Ron Hill is Non-Resident, then his response could be correct, but the status of the original poster wasn't explicit in that respect. Just a thought....
