IBI tax bill

IBI tax bill

Postby Sylwina » Wed Jul 22, 2015 1:11 am

Have you guys received your IBI bill reminders yet? Although payment is taken from my account in early Sept. I thought I used to get the bill in June. Haven't got mine yet and I would quite like to see by how much it has gone up since the recent revaluation of the valor catastral. At the beginning of the year I was informed that a revaluation had taken place but not of the outcome! Instead they invited me to find out via the Internet using an access code. Unfortunately the code had expired by my next visit to Spain and it proved impossible to get the information subsequently - even SUMA in Rojales couldn't tell me! Why they just couldn't tell me the new value in the letter they sent beats me. Only in Spain........ If the bills have been sent out I will need to pop down to the SUMA office. Fortunately that is not the daunting experience it once was LOL.

We didn't get our bill last year until the beginning of September. The revaluation in Quesada area was included in the bills last year and ours went from 212 to 232 euro.

Thank you Marcliff. I think they stagger the revisions. I was still here in October and the notification came after that. Also, checking last year's bill, it states the last revision took place in 1990. But it is comforting to know it does not go up by much.

It was discussed on this thread last year SUMA increases

It would appear some increases were rather larger than others.

Quite so, that's why I want to see mine to check which category I fall into. :-)
