Thanks as always Marcliff and great news for most. Unfortunately doesn’t help me whose only close relative is my sister who only gets an allowance of around 7000€ - very unfair on divorced and singletons I feel

Thanks Marcliff, on the face of it good news but I guess the devil will be in the detail. Do you know if the changes only apply to residents or will it include non residents ? Is the property transfer tax the tax you pay when you sell your property ?

Thanks Marcliff, I was aware of CGT on property sale but wasn’t sure what IPT was thanks for the clarification. Also good to know IHT is the same for residents & non residents. However following this ruling looks like it is nil for both. Thanks again.

This is great news but does this apply if the children live outside of the EU?
