Hi Any one can please suggest the quick way to get an NIE for my son . He can fly to Spain for a couple of days. Any suggestions be very appreciated. Thanks

Get it in the UK , only takes around 5-7 days.

Appointments here are taking ages. You have to get one online so, as Wabryce says, try and get one in UK.
There are only two consulates in UK that do it, though. Edinburgh and London (they closed the Manchester one down some time ago) and you have to turn up in person.
CAB Spain has links on how to do it but says it can take up to 3 weeks to get the number although that would be a maximum.
