Non-Resident tax

Filled in the non resident tax form online no problem,but unable to transfer from my spanish bank account to there`s,the tax is due before Dec 31st,if i was to leave it till in Spain again on the 7th Jan,does anyone know if there will there be any penalty charge.

Mick if any help, i have been late paying my resident taxes before and i was fined for every day late, hope this helps.

The fine is 5% for the first 3 months and an extra 5% every 3 month after that. So, if you are under the 3 months, the maximum you can be fined is 5%. 3 to 6 months the fine is 10% and so on.

If you print off the form and post to your bank account in Spain they can transfer the funds for you. My banc Sabadell do it every year for me as I use Spanish Tax Forms.co.uk so as long as you fill out the bank details on the modelo form and attach a note authorising payment you should not have a problem. Hope that helps.

Can you not set it up on your UK bank account and transfer the money. The IBAN and BIC details are on the form. It doesn't have to be a Spanish Bank A/c.
