Official taxi from Alicante airport

Official taxi from Alicante airport

Postby Jan » Tue Jun 11, 2013 8:44 am

Hi,

Has anyone used a licensed taxi from Alicante airport. I would guess you have to ask for a price for the journey before travelling but are the drivers generally honest with their pricing?

What are the taxi's like and does anyone know how much it costs to Quesada from Alicante?

Hi Jan,

We use an agent who looks after our property and they organised an airport pick up and drop off for my parents at Murcia airport at a very reasonable rate. I know they also do Alicante airport. I'm not sure if anyone can use this service but i can highly recommend them, have a look at their website http://www.lidonandassociates.com/en/

The official taxis tend to ask what they think they can get away with im afraid our friends came over and because it was after 10pm & 2 of them it was going to be 120e outrageous and that was a taxi website for cars your better if you know anyone with a car to ask them

We had to get a taxi from Murcia last year when there was a mix up with the car hire company and had to get one of the taxis outside the airport with no pre-booking. It was either 60 or 65 euros but luckily the car hire firm refunded this to us.

Hi
I have been in contact with quesadataxi.com they charge around 40 euro's to Alicante Airport. I think I might give them a try. Has anyone used them? I need an early pick up so I hope they are reliable. :)

Hello Serena conybeare,

That sounds a very good price for a registered taxi. I've never heard of them but will now keep a note of the website. Please let us know how you get on.

It's really good that these companies are doing on-line booking systems nowadays as when we are back in the UK it's reassuring to get written confirmation that a taxi is booked, rather than phoning and just getting a verbal promise that they will be there. Up until recently there didn't seem to be any easily booked taxi's around Quesada but now luckily there are a few.

The easytaxiorihuelacosta.com that Guapa recommended also seems OK. I checked their up to date pricing and they quoted 50 euros from Alicante Airport to Quesada, which isn't the cheapest but at least we know it's a licensed taxi and won't be an outrageous price.

Thanks for that Alison - I did check them out but, from what I could tell, it seems that the service they provide is linked to them being the agents for the properties that they arrange the airport runs for. I may be wrong, so do let us know if they actually do taxi services for anyone.
