When I wanted a Taxi from Mercadona I asked a check out girl and she gave me a Taxi card out of her till. The driver wasn't the usual one. Maybe they have an arrangement.

All taxis have their areas but if you get a Quesada taxi they will help you get a taxi back if it is out of their area.

All supermarkets and restaurants will book you a licensed taxi and it's not neccesarily an 'arrangement'. Just that taxis leave them their cards.

Therefore Guardamar/Torrevieja/Benijofar taxis and others can bring people to Quesada or wherever ....but they can't pick up. It's just how the taxi laws are and nothing suspicious. LOL

I was trying to be helpful as somebody was told they didnt pick up from Mercadona in Benijofar.
. I do know the Taxi rules and it's easer to use a number supplied by a shop or bar be it Quesada or Rojales Taxis. More likely to get a result quickly.

Rojales and Quesada are the same and taxis are happy to pick up drop off anywhere in Rojales and Quesada.. they can pick up and drop off in Benijofar and Benimar.... not not pick up in Benijofar..only Benimar..

Confusing?... yes,

.. I was in Aljibe on Saturday in Rojales..and called a Rojales taxi to go home at midnight.. and a Formentera taxi came..

Yes, very confusing...

Aljibe isn't in Rojales, it is in los palacios which comes under Formentera del Segura. Rojales actually starts from the traffic lights heading towards the old bridge. We used to say Rojales till Laura, the Spirit bar owner, pointed this out & if you look at the signs by the traffic lights it clearly shows the Rojales border. So Rojales actually starts by the BBVA Bank, Mapfre offce & on towards the old bridge & bar el paseo.
Regards,
Dave.

Thanks for the info. I agree it is very confusing. Seems strange that I can have a taxi bring me there but not pick me up again when done shopping!!! That's just dumb to me.

It is done on the meter so it depends where in Quesada you begin and end...but if you are at the Arches in Quesada and want to go to the town Hall in Rojales it will be about 10 euros... but if you are at the water park and want to go to the Town Hall it will be about 6 euros..

..about...

..maybe
