They might do something like that at Cafe Almoradi (opposite the clinic). I run a Scrabble Club there on the last Tuesday of the month from 3-5 if you are interested

I tried to get a chess club going on Entre Naranjos, no one interested.

The Marquee bar in Quesada host a backgammon club on Thursday evenings
