Been posted several times. All beaches in Guardamar are closed tonight. No-one allowed.
They are having a costume party in the centre away from the beach instead.
Torrevieja and Orihuela beaches are open for bonfires using wood provided by the council.
Santa Pola has two beaches open for bonfires and none allowed on any other beaches.

Beaches were closed yesterday from 2100 hours and reopened this morning at 0600 according to the Guardamar ayuntamiento. Whether they changed their minds and opened them with no bonfires wasn't announced.

It was because of the fire risk and the dangers on the beach when the fires were put out.

Bit late but Orihuela Costa decided to close their beaches just the day before the festival. Only 2 beaches were allowed access (Cala Capitan and one other) but they banned bonfires on both of those.
