Park Runs in the area

Hi All
My wife and I have belatedly got into the 5k park runs on a Saturdays. We will be returning to Guardamar in the next couple of weeks.
Do these events take place in the area?
We would like to continue our progress.

Hi Old Salt,
Park runs haven't caught on in Spain as such yet.
I usually run solo in and around La Mata Natural Park but join in races around the Costa Blanc's. I do this more for fun and the enjoyment of it rather than trying to win anything.
If you're still around in October there is a 5 and 10k race in Rojales on 1st Oct. I did this for the first time last year and it was great fun with a fantastic atmosphere. Runners of all ages and sizes so maybe you could join in if you liked.

for the info. We are also running for fun our times for the 5k are very slow at 36 minutes, but would love to join in.

I don't know why we don't start our own park run. It would be a fun way of meeting new people whilst doing something very healthy?
