A regular tourist train has started today taking visitors on a 50 minute tour round the iconic salt lakes.
Costing 6.95€ adult and 5.95€ for pensioners, trains, equipped with earphones, leave every 2 hours and stop for folk to take photos and climb the salt piles.

We did this quite a few years ago and took Visitors. Then they stopped it. Hope it keeps going this time. Amazing what Salt is used for.

The departure point is quoted as "Avenida de la Libertad". Google maps brings up several but none in the vicinity of the lakes.

I imagine its at the top of the hippy market as that's where their other 'noddy trains' tend to stop and its close to the information office.
