Villa Salud or flamenco show with horses

Villa Salud or flamenco show with horses

Postby derekw » Wed Sep 08, 2021 8:09 pm

Does anyone know how I can book the flamenco show with horses at the Villa Salud?

I’ve e-mailed them and phoned on 344 0035 6110 but it just rings out. I’d like to boom for Saturday night.

I've just looked at their website and you can book it there. Press on the union jack for English if you don't do Spanish.

before you book, suggest you make am impromptu visit to see how the horses are trained and kept. riders also use spurs. Would never go there again unless things have changed

A friend went about 6 weeks ago and one of the horses collapsed she said it was horrible to see,
They were concerned about the rider but not too fussed with the horse

We went years ago, complete waste of time, just a small paddock with a few horses, standing around outside paddock to view, few seats on straw bails but too close as they were inside the arena area. Didn’t have any facilities, drinks available from a cool box. Seen better horsemanship at the Olympics with the dressage - just my opinion.
Might have changed since our time but as one person here mentioned pop out and see the area for yourself.

I looked on youtube and saw them chasing horses about with mock-up bulls... the horses looked scared to death. I think that video has been removed but I hear they are still doing it in the show,,, I would love to go, but not when they scare the horses so..

A few years ago a woman out walking her dog saw them dragging a nearly dead horse out of the stables with a tractor she took pictures and called the police and they sent a vet to put the horse down! They were fined I think just hope its under new ownership and the horses are treated better. I would never go again.

We are going to the flamenco show at La Herradura on the outskirts of Los Montesinos without horses as an alternative. A friend went to Vila Salada recently and enjoyed the show but had some reservations about the horses welfare and use of Spurs.
