TORREVIEJA CULTURAL PROGRAMME SUMMER 2013:-

EXHIBITIONS:-
VIRGEN DEL CARMEN:- From 12th July to 28th July:- Exhibtion of typical, artesan fishing in Torrevieja.
WHAT'S ON:-
JULY 2013:-
FRIDAY 12th JULY at 12.00h in the Centro Cultural Virgen del Carmen:- Choral concert by 'Masa Coral José Hodar. Admission free.
FRIDAY 12th JULY at 22.30h PLAYA DEL CURA:- Annual "HABANERAS ON THE BEACH" - Local choirs offer a taste of 'Habaneras' as a preview to next weeks' prestigious international competition.
SATURDAY 13th JULY at 19.00h in the Palacio de la Música:- Saxaphone Quartet of the Municpal Music Conservatory offer a concert (four saxaphones).
SUNDAY 14th JULY at 12.00h in the Teatro Municipal:- Annual "Torrevieja Symphony Competition" (organised by town band, Union Musical Torrevejense). This is the world premier of this year's winning entry.
SUNDAY 14th JULY at 21.30h in the Plaza de Encarnación, La Mata:- Concert by town band "·Sociedad Musical Cuidad de Torrevieja Los Salerosos".
TUESDAY 16th JULY:- VIRGEN DEL CARMEN (fiesta). Includes a procession of the 'virgen' and fireworks during the evening.
FROM 22nd JULY to 28th JULY 2013 inclusive and commencing at 23.00h each night:- The annual "INTERNATIONAL HABANERAS & POLIFONIA COMPETITION" with the participation of competing choirs from the world over as well as local offerings. 11 choirs from Europe, Asia and South America as well as from Spain. Tickets from the ticket office.
WEDNESDAY 31st JULY to SUNDAY 4th AUGUST inclusive:- in the Parque de las Naciones (during the day):- Fiestas and activities for children to celebtrate 'San Emigdio' (patron / protector of 'Earthquakes').
AUGUST 2013:-
SUNDAY 4th AUGUST:- Centro Cultural Virgen del Carmen at 21.00h:- Dance spectacular offered by the 'PAYA'S' school of dance. Admission 3€.
WEDNESDAY 7th AUGUST at 22.00h in the TEATRO MUNCIPAL:- 'LOCAL YOUNG MUSICIANS' features local popular music band 'Andromeda'. Free admission.
THURSDAY 8th AUGUST 2013 - Children's theatre in Teatro Municipal at 20.00h:- "VEO VEO - EL MUSICAL". Admission 10€.
THURSDAY 8th AUGUST 2013 at 22.00h (doors open 20.00h) in the 'ERAS DE LA SAL' open air theatre:- "Ally Campell's UB40". Tickets from 32€ (standing) and from 50€ (seated). (commision charges may be applicable).
FRIDAY 9th AUGUST at 22.00h in the TEATRO MUNCIPAL:- "MUSICA - SABOR LATINO" (Various Artists) organised by immigration association 'ASILA'. Admission 6€.
SATURDAY 10th AUGUST at 21.00h in the TEATRO MUNICIPAL:- "NOCHE FLAMENCA" presented by the local 'Andalucian Association'. Admission 5€.
SUNDAY 11th AUGUST at 21.00h in the TEATRO MUNCIPAL:- Children's musical "Los Ridere - the world of puppets". Adults 12€, children 10€.
MONDAY 12th to SUNDAY 18th August in the 'SAN ROQUE' neighbourhood:- Fiestas in honour of San Roque.
MONDAY, TUESDAYand WEDS 12th,13, 14th AUGUST in the TEATRO MUNICIPAL:- The musical "BROADWAY" ON ICE!!! Tickets priced at 25€ and 35€. On sale now.
SATURDAY 17th AUGUST 2013 at 21.30h in he TEATRO MUNICIPAL:- GALA FLAMENCA presented by the Andalucian Association and featuring "El Polaco". Admission 20€ and 25€.
SATURDAY 17th AUGUST at 23.00h in the 'Eras de la Sal' open air theatre:- 'LOS MORANCOS' (comedy duo) with their new, 2013 "LOS MORANCOS EN POSITIVO".
SUNDAY 18th AUGUST at 21.30h in TEATRO MUNICPAL:- Children's theatre "La Maga Maja y sus Bichos". Admission:- Adults 12€, children 10€.
SATURDAY and SUNDAY 24th & 25th AUGUST:- Annual "INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF BANDS" (organised as usual by town band 'Los Salerosos').
MONDAY 26th and TUESDAY 27th AUGUST in the TEATRO MUNICIPAL at 22.00h:- The musical "MICHAEL JACKSON - THE MOONWALKER SHOW" - ON ICE!!! Tickets 25€ and 35€.
SEPTEMBER 2013:-
FRIDAY 6th SEPTEMBER 2013 at 20.00h in the TEATRO MUNICIPAL:-:- Annual "COASTRIDER PRIDE OF SPAIN AWARDS". Admission 6€.
SATURDAY 14th SEPTEMBER at 21.00h in the INTERNATIONAL AUDITORIUM (near to San Jaime hospital)TORREVIEJA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA offer music by VIVALDI.
