Please can anyone advise if they have private health insurance that covers the pre- existing medical condition of high blood pressure? Is so please can you give me the name of the company?

We have just been refused cover with one company dispite being told, when enquiring, that as high blood pressure is so common that it would be covered.

Hi, you don't say your age and if you are resident etc etc. i can only tell you that we are early retirees and we have got the Convenio Especial which you pay into 60 Euros each for a month. This does NOT have resitrictions regarding existing health conditions, you can make appointments to see your Doc and if you need to be referred to a specialist they will do this for you.
If you are in a hurry and dont want to wait you coulld see a private consuultant approx 125 Euros for the consultation. We use both systems in tandem and get the best of both worlds. Hope this helps.

Many thanks. It's for my husband who is 51. It's our intention to apply for residency once we've moved into our new house in Nov so at the moment we have to go private. It is our intention to pay into the Spanish system a year after we get our residency to save having these issues.
Many thanks for replying.
