The Boundary Between Ciudad Quesada & Atalya Park

The Boundary Between Ciudad Quesada & Atalya Park

Postby **Georgia* » Thu Nov 09, 2017 10:17 am

:naughty: :naughty: Has anyone any knowledge of why there is such an unusual boundary between
Quesada and Atalaya Park ? If you drive you have to go around the perimeter
to get out of Atalaya Park and find your way to the Mercadona Roundabout and
then proceed to the Quesada Roundabout. If you walk, you can use the small
pathway at the back of the Mini Golf Restaurant, and these appear to be the only
access routes available. Why there is such a noticeable barrier in the middle of
the road seems senseless, in these days when the areas are regularly used by
residents in both areas.
Does anyone know of plans to "open up" these barriers for an easier access ?
Like to hear from you ? :naughty: :naughty:

I think it's funny about the 'Berlin Wall' where you have Two roads side by side but separated by a concrete wall.

I heard it was because Rojales and Beniofar are two different administrations and so wanted their own roads.

It probably explains why there's not a decent integrated bus service as well

I too have heard that Benijofar was interested in opening up the road and asked the residents on the Benijofar side if they wanted it opening... they said "No"... so it remains closed...

There was a public meeting in Benijofar either last year or earlier this year. It was attended by approx 60 people of which only two were from the Rojales side of the dividing wall. The vote was obviously heavily on the Benijofar's
side which was to leave it in place. The meeting was apparently advertised in the free papers but nobody I have asked actually saw it. An opportunity lost I'm afraid.

It's mental. Nice to see the new road that goes straight through from Benimar to the new roundabout near Mercadona though.

But who was the clown who put the roundabout on a hill.................??????? Difficult to see other vehicles already on it as you approach it , so its another Spanish guessing game ...!!

Anyone come up to this stupid thing in the dark , no lighting [ yet ...!!!] your lights are shine above it and if you don't know its there it is easy to run into it , for those folks who are comeing over later this year who are unaware of this new road blockade could be a rude awakening .

some negative thoughts on new road works being carried out at the mo ???,at least let the work finish.
And without these additional access points and crossings, I'm sure there wiould be ongoing more negative thoughts :o :o
