I'm sure marcliff wont mind us copying and pasting his post from the Red days topic and starting a new topic with it, as it's very helpful and there may be more for us to add or ask as the Christmas & new year period continues:
"Just a reminder that next week is generally big holidays in Spain with Constitution Day on Wednesday 6th and the Immaculate Conception on Friday 8th plus nearly Christmas.
However, not all shops are closed every day.

Consum is closed Wednesday but open Friday 0900-1500. Sunday 24th 0900-1900 and Sunday 31st 0900-1500
Lidl is open on Sunday 3rd Dec from 0900-1500, closed on Wednesday but open normal hours on Friday (0900-2200) They are also open on Sunday 17th from 0900-1500. No info on Christmas opening.
Iceland at San Fulgencia will be open on Sunday 3rd Dec from 0900-1730, Closed on Wednesday 6th, open on Friday 8th (0900-2000)open on Sunday 17th 0900-2000 and then open the rest of the week until 2100 instead of 2000.
