Problem with another forum

torrevieja.co.uk still hanging on but in it,s death throes!

Only about 5 regular posters left, and what was vibrant and humerous is now just bland beige tripe.

Upset one of them...a bit too fond of his brandy...and you were gone!

Not what a forum should be about...trouble is the latter person is on here...but we know who he is and so does Jan...so his cloth is cut out for him.

I like this forum a lot...very helpful...some interesting topics....well done Jan!

But please allow a little light banter, as long as its not malicious..I like a bit of spice.:D

I for one prefer strong moderation. At least you know where you stand.
This is a forum for grown ups.

I was kicked off that forum several years ago, as I had mentioned that my husband has the stall next to me (he does mosquito screens) my post was about cheese and because I mentioned his business which was not registered with them they kicked me off, not nice people.

Torrevieja forum.co.uk was not the culprit, I still enjoy logging onto it and miss what it used to be.
We stay on the La Mata side of Torrevieja and have few English speaking neighbours so I always relied upon the forums to get help and advice when required. Apart from looking for help, I really enjoy reading all the other posts and advice offered. Anyone living in the Quesada area are very fortunate to have this particular forum as it is geared very much towards that area.....naturally! Anyway, I am happy to piggy back on this forum and have managed to buy some excellent things from other members. Keep up the good work!

I have used these types of Forums since we first bought in Spain in 2002..

If used properly they can be great.. I have made really good friends with several people "met" on forums... I have saved a ton of money, I have avoided costly mistakes, learned a lot and enjoy the banter..

But all forums... fora, fori...?, have different "tones" or "flavours".. some are really good, some are not, some are very rarely used and are quiet, some can be aggressive to newbies..This forum is one of the very good ones due to sensible moderating (thanks Jan)...but what suits one person may not suit another.. .. so give some a try, .. variety is the spice of life (they tell me)...

Why is this thread on here? OK, we know talkquesada is a superior site. This bit, though, is just sock puppets trying to post "in the know"remarks as if none of us realise who they actually are from the other sites.
