Your father doesn't need a computer, you just ring his phone from your computer using Skype.
Just put some credit on your Skype account and it's as cheap as chips.

The Post Box in Dona Pepa does PAYG with Lebara mobile. The one in town near the garage does PAYG with Llamaya. SIM cards are free and just top up when you need. Other locations and shops are also available without taking out a contract.

I use Skype to call my Mum in the UK on her landline as she also doesn’t have a computer or even a mobile phone for that matter. I’m sure it either costs me 5p a minute or even 0.05p per minute. I put £20 credit in my Skype account and it lasts forever. You can see your credit, and how much it costs you every call.

Just gone onto a monthly deal (no contract period) with Lebara for which we get free international calls to over 50 countries (works on mobiles or landlines) 5000 mins, Free Lebara to Lebara , texts and calls within Spain - all for 15 euros a month!
Seems a great deal
