heating swimming pool and central heating with gas

heating swimming pool and central heating with gas

Postby Molypam » Wed Jan 17, 2018 3:07 pm

We have a house near the la Marquesa golf course and are wanting to install heating for our pool and house.
Has anyone installed a LPG tank for the use of heating the swimming pool and central heating?
Does anyone know the regulations required of installing an LPG tank
Does anyone know who to contact regarding heating through gas?
Alternatively, Does the electric heat exchange pool heaters work and what input is required for the electric system?
Any helpful advice is welcome.
Thank you

Hi this company fit, they have had mixed reports but can arrange LPG tanks and know the regulations based in Benijofar.

We have a solar heating system for our pool; 8 panels for a 11m x 4.5m pool. Plus an electric heating system to augment. We also have a polycarbonate 'house' over the pool. Our experience, albeit a different heating system to what you plan, is that the only beneficial element is the pool house. This keeps water temp 5C to 8C higher than open air pools. The solar panels give us an extra month of usage in both Spring and Autumn compared to neighbours' open air pools. The electric heater is a very expensive waste so no longer use it. I would suggest you calculate overnight heat loss versus what any heating system can add before spending money. This would enable you to size the heating system and determine its worth or not. Hope this helps your considerations.
