Booster car seat for 8yr old

Wanted booster car seat for 8yr old .Need it for 10th February. Either buy or loan it for a few days

Booster seats are no longer legal, you’ll need the correct stage car seat for the age/weight of the child. At eight years old, I suspect that you could eliminate the seats harness and secure the child, in the seat, with the car’s seat belt

Are booster seats not in group3 now then? . . Weight limits were changed a while ago but I can't find any mention of them being illegal on N332 site or anywhere else . . The stores and Amazon are still selling them claiming them to be legitimate.
Just worried now as we have one for 8 year old granddaughter when out . .
