Trouble posting an item for sale

Trying to advertise on Buy and Sell, only adding 1 picture of a heater and am told the file is too big.

Approx 12 words in ad. Haven’t had this problem before, any advice, or is the site having problems?

Sounds like your picture is too big - too many pixels - and needs reducing in size.
Computer screens are getting bigger, but to put a photo up it really only needs to be perhaps 1000 pixels at its largest.
Most people shoot photos nowadays at perhaps 12 Mega Pixel, but that's a lot of information to transmit & would be best resized to around 1 MP.
I know that'll probably sound like a lot of technobabble, but there are many free resizing websites out there where you can put in your large picture and get it back reduced - e.g. http://www.picresize.com/
