Parking changes in Rojales

Parking changes in Rojales

Postby Martin the artist » Wed Feb 21, 2018 12:08 pm

A few days ago parking regulations changed in some streets.
Where parking was allowed one side of the street for first 2 weeks of the month & then the other side for the second half, it has now changed to allow parking for 6 months on one side, and 6 months on the other.
Just check the signs when you park to ensure you don't get towed.

Streets affected:-
C/ Almoradí, C/ Torrevieja, C/ Daya Vieja, C/ Daya Nueva, C/ Benijofar, C/ San Isidro, C/Huertos, C/ Thader, C/ Ntra. Sra. Del Rosario, C/ Alcudia, C/ San Pedro, C/ Miguel Ortega, C/ La Hila, C/ Ntro. Padre Jesús, C/ Maestro Ventura, C/ Romero, C/ Maestro José Serrano, C/ Salvador García Aguilar, C/ La Lira, C/ Príncipe de Asturias, C/ Reyes Católicos, C/ Ramón y Cajal, C/ Juan Ramón Jiménez, C/ Logroño 3,

The mayor says the decision for change "has the objective to avoid unpleasant surprises and sanctions that nobody likes."
I know just after I moved to Rojales, I returned to my car after being at the market, just in time to see it disappearing on tow truck.
I'd parked where others had, but hadn't realised the sides rule - so have been very vigilant since.
However it was always a bit difficult on change over days, as folk had left their cars from night before & new people needed to park opposite.

Thanks! I didn’t know about this rule. Also the side of the road the sign is on is that the no parking side? I guess it would be obvious as cars would be parked on the correct side :)

Yes... With the sign above, it would mean no parking on that side of the road from 1st January to 30th June.

Also beware some other towns - e.g. Hondon de Los Frailes - some roads vary every day!
The signs just have either a single or double upright line on with the diagonal line through them to mean no parking on odd or even number dates!

its weird if you don't know the rules,
parking both sides in our street, next street parking only one side and both street exactly the same houses and both roads the same width, :?

Interesting read, what are the charges for being towed away and for recovery?
