ALHAMBRA PALACE

ALHAMBRA PALACE

Postby JOHNNOBEV » Tue Mar 06, 2018 11:54 am

My wife and I are visiting the Alhambra Palace, etc in April.
As we both suffer with our backs, especially when standing in long queues.
Does anyone know of a reliable agency where we can pre-book our tickets and have the option of going to the front of the queue?
Kind Regards

Just go online to the official alhambra palace website and book there and the tickets a be picked up from the Tourist Office in Granada. We did that and it was easy and efficient to pick them up.
I will try to find the website link on our email of where we bought ours but hopefully someone else may know.

We heard that you can also get them in the Caixa bank but others may advise you on that.

Just found it. We bought the Granada Card. It was a brilliant deal.

Please be very careful, there are many pickpockets there.

We went on a tour with Gandia over xmas and part of this was a visit to Granada. It wasn't explained until we got on the coach that tickets have to be bought on-line. Complete waste of time. Hotels and tour guides couldn't assist, very disappointing. You would think we would have been told when booking the holiday.

We went to the Alhambra palace a few years ago under our own steam, stayed at the Hotel that over looks the grounds, I went down at 6.45am to get tickets, and was second in the queue! Well worth a visit but Hard work if you are not fit, walking steps ect, dificult to see it all in one day.

We went there a couple of weeks ago on an organised bus trip, tickets are all sold out months in advance. If you are lucky enough to get tickets on line you must remember to take your passport with you to the Palace on the day or you will not get in. They had just changed their booking / entry system the week we visited and it was chaos! Things might have settled down a bit by the time you go there. Our tickets were included and booked by our trip organiser, but I believe on most other bus tours you need to book them yourself.

It was a beautiful day there and well worth a visit. It took our group about 3 hours to go around with an official tour guide, very interesting when you have someone with you who knows the history of the palace.

Our coach company, Gandia, didnt tell us to buy tickets. They assumed everyone knew. Lots of disappointed people.
