Supermarkets open on Easter Sunday

What don't you think they are? Supermarkets in Spain or UK?
As posted, some supermarkets in Spain are open Easter Sunday. Surprisingly, some are even open on Good Friday which is the big day and Easter Monday isn't even recognised as a holiday in most regions.
In UK, most of the big supermarkets, like Tesco and Sainsbury, close on Easter Sunday but open the smaller stores like Tesco Express.
Again, it will depend on the area.

Easter Sunday celebrates the resurrection and I've always been under the impression that's the most important day. I once worked for Woolworths and it was the only Sunday no stores opened and I think it was part of the Sunday trading laws.
