WATER BILL PAYMENT FOR RUBBISH COLLECTION

Thanks Marcliff - when you say here do you mean Rojales or Spain?

I think it's Spain wide but the water bills and rubbish charges being separated are new to Rojales (they started doing it in Torrevieja a couple of years ago).
However, all other bills like council tax etc are the responsibility of the owner at Jan 1st each year.

Is the rubbish tax monthly or a one off yearly

Annual, once a year.
(be a bit expensive if it was monthly).

The charges were originally separate, Basura charges being paid at the Ayuntamiento in Rojales.
They were then combined with the water bill, so it´s a return to how things were previously,
except the Basura is now collected by SUMA.

Does anyone know why most people have been charged 78.36 but others only 62,69

Would say it is size of house and land as I have a bill for both amounts . One for my larger villa and a big plotI live in and one for a very small house on a 100qm plot.

Based on the size of your property. Over 100 sq metres plot is €78.36 and under 100 sq metres is €62.96.
