Help with Aircon - sorted now thanks.

Help with Aircon - sorted now thanks.

The remote control for our air con no longer works. We go get a new universal remote but can’t get it to work. It states we need a 4 digit code but have been unable to find a code despite looking on Internet. The air con system is a Firstline FCS12000CH.
Can anyone help or recommend someone to sort it for us?

Thanks but the remote we are trying to use is that one we bought from Amazon. Have e-mailed the company for help too but no response yet. We aren’t in Spain long enough to get hold of the one in Spain.

Appreciate your suggestions.

Our neighbour had the same problem and bought a universal remote fro Merca Chino and it works perfectly. Worth a try and cheaper.

Just a thought , have you tried new batteries and pressing (might be recessed so may need a pin or similar) the “reset” button/push. Probably not marked as such and some are very small but if you look you should see it.

Firstline units can have two problems, one with the remote and the other with the receiver eye. You normally can do a scan using the universal remotes which tries all codes. The faulty receiver board can be repaired. If you still have the old remote, try pointing it at a digital camera, it should show a light when switching on.

Apologies, I thought that these were original remotes when I posted the links. On further inspection I can see that they contain the word "Universal".

Pete.
