Is Quesada Tap Water Safe to Drink?

Is Quesada Tap Water Safe to Drink?

Postby prefect » Sat Apr 14, 2018 11:56 am

In the area from Dona Pepa to Rojales there are many shops selling many varieties of bottled water.
Does that signify the tap water is suspect without taking precautions before drinking it?

Its safe but your digestive system may not be used to it . . Ok to cook with brush teeth etc most people with places here use some kind of filtration system to reduce minerals for drinking but for short visits bottled may be best for you

Water here is perfectly safe to drink. British supermarkets sell loads of bottled water as well but that doesn't make the water there unsafe.
Like anywhere, it may be different and you may not be used to it. Once you have got used to it it's fine.

It might be fine but it still tastes awful.

Hi if you fit an inexpensive filter system like the type supplied by http://healthyh2o.es/index.html you can drink it and it also tastes OK
.
They will fit them for you or just supply them for you to fit yourself.

Unfortunately, I am not particularly fond of the taste of water on its own, but we always get the water from the supermarkets at about 70 cents for 6 litres. I do take a glass of it to bed and only use tap water when brushing teeth or boiling vegetables.
There is also the issue of taste. For example, my grandchildren generally only drink water and are therefore probably experts in its taste. So when they come out here, we buy the small bottles of the spring water, as they do not like the taste of the 6 litre bottles we buy.
We cannot complain that they prefer to drink water and we acquiesce to their ‘expert’ knowledge.

My young Spanish neighbour always walks back from Lidl fully laden every Friday evening.
In one hand he has a full bag of shopping in the other a 6 pack of mineral water so I guess he doesn't like the tap water.
Some walk that almost up to Harry's.

The water is heavily chlorinated. If I am given a cuppa made with tap water, I know immediately, the taste is just awful. Of course, that´s not to say it isn´t safe.
