Don't know where you are in Dona Pepa but it takes 20 mins from The Coppers Arms into town.

If you are a normally fit person of course you can. I live near the Gama and it takes me 20 minutes into town and about the same down to The Laguna.

It’s downhill on the way back so it’s actually easier than the first leg. Just 2 things to be aware of:
1) It’s very hot in the summer so carry water with you;
2) Don’t walk late at night for safety reasons.

You’ll soon get into the habit of it and it will be great for your fitness. (We live in Doña Pepa and do it all the time with a ‘pit stop’.)
