Rather than rushing about shopping why not bring some snacks from home and buy a couple of meal deals at Boots in the airport which includes large bottles of water and go out for dinner in the evening (plenty of places open for meals in DP), you will then be set up until morning when the shops open. That's what we do whenever we arrive on Sunday or any day if we arrive late afternoon/evening.

Just a thought.

Yes, we are planning to eat out Sunday evening and to bring some items with us, and a couple of meal deals each was plan B if no shops were open, we drink a lot of water!!! :text-lol:

The only problem with that for me is I need milk for my morning cup of tea!! I havent yet found anywhere at the airport that sells milk.

We leave booze, water, tea bags etc behind on our previous stay so we are fine on that front.

A few years ago Fresh Milk wasn't readily available locally in Spain. The Spanish seemed to buy Long Life Milk. A Dozen Cartons or more at a time. We decided to try it and from then on we did the same so always had Milk on our Arrival.

Thanks for your reply, it'll be late afternoon we're looking at, so very helpful information.

Just be aware that Johnson's closes at 16:00 on Sundays.

You can bring fresh milk with you employing a little trick. Take an empty water bottle through to airside. Then go to get a coffee or something before departure and ask for a glass of fresh milk and hand them the bottle. You can then take it on board with your hand luggage. We have done that a few times now.
