Hi folks, does anybody know if any of the farmacias do there own version of Optrex Actimist Eyespray?

Suffering terrible with dry itchy eyes.

I take an antihistamine daily but my eyelids are so sore!

I have just used Rose water a couple of drops in each eye i must say this makes a difference rose water is very soothing and moisturising, you could also try 1/4 tsp of salt dessolved in a cup of hot water, let cool down and use an eye bath to soothe. Also use wet cotton wool pads that have been in the fridge.
Hypromelose is good too i get it from the uk ( asda under 2.00 )
Also try a little vaseline on the tips of your eyelashes this help trap any pollen in the air, you could also use this at the end of your nose.
I suffer from Hayfever and live between lemon, orange, almond and olive groves!!! very intense but have to say the Rose water was pretty instant for me! i hope you can get some relief!

Thanks Linda I do already use eye drops as I suffer from dry eye syndrome so can't live without them. And yes use Vaseline as well. But whatever I use at the minute stings my eyelids.

But will definitely give rose water a go.

Thanks again

Hi, sorry dont know if the farmacia does a spray, but I would heartily recommend, as a fellow hay fever sufferer, HYABAK 0.15% 10ml. drops. They are to hydrate the eyes and can be used even with contact lens. A month ago I had cataracts removed and multi vision lens implants at the clinic down by La Laguna hotel and as well as all the usual drops they gave me I am now using the Hyabak hydrating drops with the same brilliant results.

I have bought them at both the Quesada and the Canales chemists and they are expensive, about 14 euros I think, but well worth it and last for ages. Good luck!

You have probably been given all the advice you need, but I just wanted to add that I suffer from hay fever and also Blepharitis. Apart from the Actimist, I use Blepha Clean sterile wipes daily which I get from Amazon UK and there is a similar one here called Blepharyx which I got from the Farmacia near the Banana Tree restaurant in Quesada.
Another thing I do, is clean my eye lids with diluted baby shampoo applied with cotton pads. This helps with dryness and soreness.
Good luck!
