Iberdrola taking payments

Iberdrola taking payments

Postby Pipsyspup » Sun May 13, 2018 9:31 pm

Hi, we have only owned our property since 4th April and have had a payment of 76 euros taken by the electricity company. This seems excessive and we have not had sight of a bill. Is this normal?

Sounds about right for a month. I would imagine about €50 of that will be charges.

Thqt's the average I pay monthly. And you must know that you pay around just 50€ for the rent of the 'meters and tax. The rest is the electrity that you have used.....
Download the app from Iberdrola and you will find your bill there.
Good luck and welcome to spain .....

change to dual tariff smart meter, and get your bills online works out a fraction cheaper,no more estimated bills, but agree theres more for add ons than electric used, just go down to the Iberdorla office in Guardamar .go as early as poss to avoid ques, although its take a ticket and wait, the girls on the desks speak a little English,

€50/month seems excessive for standing charges . . When our place is unused and no power being used its around €25/month??

Yes, around 25 euro a month for contracted power, meter rental, taxes etc. Always depending on what level of power you are contracted for.
Electricity usage added on to that.

My latest bill , March to April ( this year ) was 43.96 E , in that month 62 kWh were used costing 10.48 E ( cost of energy used ) The rest of the bill was made up of charges . For example , Iberdrola charged me 21.41 E last month for the having a 5.5 KW supply connected to my house . Then there's tax on the electric used 1.63 E in my case , equipment hire charge , emergency electric service and then IVA (vat) . So there you go - Who ever is in charge at Iberdrola must have worked in the Spanish banking system first ! Was not at my property during March To April but pool was running , outside lights and f/freezer on . Anyone tried energynordic.com ?
