I know this is not at all helpfull but,

Some people have strange ideas of what constitutes a Michelin starred restaurant.

You're in the wrong area for that type of experience. Before everyone pipes up in defence, I'm not saying we don't have good restaurants in the area but unless you've been to a few Michelin star restaurants you don't know the difference. There is a difference, a big difference even between a great restaurant and a one star Michelin. La Finca in Elche is good and generally you'll pay around 120 - 150€ per person. Another incredible place which isn't Michelin rated but in my opinion should be is in Yecla, Señorio Barahonda, we recently had the 21 course taster menu and it was exquisite (for 70€ per head), so much so we went back for my birthday and 2nd time was just as good.
Here is the google map location .. https://goo.gl/maps/cp42qY2vurq
To be honest if you Tripadvisor any restaurant in Alicante the top ten will be fantastic. ENJOY YOUR MEAL

as said previously it is not exactly the area to support Michelin stars
my only visit to one was the Fat Duck at Bray and I was underwhelmed (but as I was not paying I kept quiet).
There seem to be some good suggestions in here we have had so many recommendations "oh you must go to...……." I can't remember any of them now
I trust PP have a really nice meal on their special day

It is not in a good location.
On one side you have the large car park at the golf course and on the other you have the roundabout.
It is hardly a place to celebrate a birthday.

So we go to lots of different restaurants and have our favourites for occasions. Portico Mar and El Gust are two of the many we love
