Post box Key

Hi everyone, have just bought an apartment and need to get into mailbox (no key). Can anyone recommend a reasonable locksmith please?

The easiest way is to simply drill the centre of the lock out...go to a Chinese shop and buy a new postbox lock with new keys...one of your DIY neighbours will do it for you.

Be very careful , we did that, then found all the locks are not the same.

we did that but went to a hardware shop took old lock get new one 7 euro dead easy to remove and fit.

The tricky bit is often getting the the correct shaped piece that goes on the back of the lock and which engages with the frame of the mailbox to lock the door. The best option is to keep the original one and fit it to the new lock barrel if possible.
