Automatic Sliding Gates

Has anyone had any experience with the costs of automatic sliding gates for a driveway. Just had a quote of over 2,000 euros for fabrication and installation. Seems a lot of money? Can anyone recommend a suitable company? Any help or suggestions would be welcome please.

Sounds about right for Aluminium a bit expensive for steel I would say depend on what needs doing to fit them.

You should get Alluminium and a good motor, a bit more expensive but no painting just an occasional wipe over to look as good as new.

Also lighter, so easier for the motor to do it’s job.

Totally agree with aluminium. maintenance free even the best steel ones with galvanized tend to rust eventually!

I’ve had two types fitted and both were €2000+. Powder coated do rust !!! Wish I’d got aluminium
