Hi. If you are thinking of carp fishing within driving distance of Quesada, you will find it quite different to carp fishing in the UK. There is quite a thriving coarse fishing community here. Also the forum Places to Fish on the Costa Blanca - https://www.facebook.com/groups/1358067790952711/ People often post when and where they are going fishing. My advice would be to go along to have a chat about what tackle works best for our local waters and what you might catch. There are matches every Wednesday during August at 'El Bosquet' a commercial fishery (€7 / day) - https://www.facebook.com/fincaelbosquet/ - where you will see several styles which are quite representative except for fishing the embalsas (dams). Finally, ground baiting is illegal on all waters except in matches; one local angler has just been hit with a heavy fine by the Police. Tight lines.
