New Consum(?) Lemon Tree road

New Consum(?) Lemon Tree road

Postby Jordy » Sat Aug 11, 2018 1:59 pm

Having read all the posts on here regarding the new building on Lemon Tree road and observed it's
progress on the occasions that I drive past, I am a little puzzled. It has developed into a warehouse
type building with about four metal roller shutters adorning the front. Is this really going to be a retail
outlet or just a storage warehouse for Consum or anyone else? The large area left in front that originally
seemed to be going to be the car park now looks suspiciously like it could be the turning area for lorries.
Just wondering.

Probably just security shutters. When Consum closes at night in donńa pepa, they put their shutters down.

Yes probably. I'd considered that but was thinking that when they're up it looks more like an
industrial type of building rather than one to attract shoppers. We shall see, as always.

If the car parking area gets covered areas you'll know it's probably going to be a shop, watch that space.

One of the workmen told me it is going to be a Consum supermarket. I am interested to see what the curved area is to be and how they are going to manage in/out of the car park.

Having had a quick look at the site there appears to be no unloading bay for articulated lorries.
I can't see it all being delivered through the front doors!!!!
We will all be guessing until a sign is put up prior to opening.
Cheers

Sad thing is that even I am going to have Consum in the same block, I still have to drive to Carrefour to buy. None of the supermarkets Mercadona, Masymas, Consum or Aldi sells real natural whisk cream with out additives.
So for me near is useless if I have, anyway to drive to Habaneras.
I get always surprised to see that people take food from the shelfs not even looking what they are going to eat.
