When we had a restaurant in the uk , we had many customers bring back a pot of coffee cream or a pat of butter, asking for a refund as they hadnt used it.. When i reply , i didnt charge you for the butter, it comes with the scone , they then pick up the butter pat and leave. What is the matter with brits , worrying about an ice cube, pat of butter or little pot of cream... Just pay the price or go else where , life is to short..live for today, as tomorrow is not guaranteed.
