i saw an advert recently for a full medical body scan for €130 but can’t remember which local paper it was in. Can anybody shed light on the newspaper or the medical center? Thanks

Must admit €130 seems cheap, sp probably not an MRI scan.

I was actually about to post a thread on the topic...

Has anyone paid for an MRI scan over here (not through health insurance) ? For peace of mind I'm thinking about having one done for a lower back problem. Getting a specialist referral or scan is very difficult through the NHS in the UK.

Any advice would be most welcome.

If it’s a non invasive scan, JPeg’s advice is sound

I can’t remember the advert, but surely all scans by their very nature are non invasive.

From what I gather Medb is some sort of chemical/ lifestyle analysis - certainly not on par with a CT or MRI scan.

Again I'd welcome any advice on getting a private MRI scan done over here. Approximate costs would also be useful.

You could enquire at the Hospital Quiron in Torrevieja. If they need a Doctors referral try the one near the Arches in Quesada.

The scan at Medb is not a chemical scan and is not invasive like the CT scans. In the UK it costs £600. Look it up on the internet for further details.

Myself and my husband have had several of these scans which have picked up problems that other scans are incapable of and even highlights potential problems. Dr. Mannu is a fantastic doctor.....extremely knowledgeable and approachable and he is my first port of call if I am worried about anything. In fact, he brought me back to health after six months of grueling chemotherapy.

Everyone should have one of these scans...could save a life!
