How long do iPad butteries last?

My last iPad lasted 4 years and, like you, I had the same symptoms. I was in the U.K. at the time and had an insurance with PC World and they just changed the iPad. Not financially viable to change the battery!! Any way, they can be changed but, like someone else said, it is expensive. Also it is quite a job to change them yourself. See YouTube.

Thank you for that. The thing is I didn’t use it much as I preferred my iPhone so I’m very disappointed with its useful life. I did what was suggested on here and put the brightness down and it lasted for a couple of hours. Thanks again

Just as an update on this subject, my local computer shop just told me that an iPad battery is 50€ and they’ll charge 25€ for putting it in.

I have an iPad and the battery does not last long at all. I usually have to sit with it charging whilst using it now as it gets flat very quick

Megz, I can do that but thought I’d get it fixed properly. Built-in obsolescence!
