How long do iPad butteries last?

How long do iPad butteries last?

Postby Brightonsuperwomn » Mon Oct 01, 2018 7:48 pm

My iPad is four years old this month. All of a sudden when I take it off charge it shows 100% but almost as soon as I’ve started using it, it needs charging again. I haven’t used it much so very disappointed. Wonder if I need to chuck it or is it possible to fix it. Any advice appreciated

Thank you

Take it to fonefix in San Luis. They will tell you the problem and can change battery if needed. They are expensive though.

Try the app battery life it will tell you what state the battery is in and what percentage charge it holds

Thank you for advice and info - this is a great site for people like me who feel a bit out of my depth in Spain - everything so easy to sort in Brighton!

1, Check that you do not have BLUETOOTH switched on in Settings.
2. In Settings have a look at DISPLAY AND BRIGHTNESS don’t have it over to the Far Right, about midway is good.
3. On your home screen don’t have fancy highly coloured home screen, Neutral or Black and White are more battery economic.

Hope this helps,

Clivespana
P.s. I have always found FONEFIX very reasonable prices, new battery for iPhone 5S 25€

People with a lot more knowledge than me. I have an iPhone 7 Plus which I bought from a friend. It is 2 years old and takes the latest updates. In Settings and then Battery it tells me the battery works to 86% of its original power. Maybe your iPad has this heading?
In the UK I have an iPad 2 which I have had for 7 years and I cannot check the battery efficiency from here but it still works. Only thing is, it no longer gets the iOS updates and just as well as the processor could not handle the latest ones anyway.
To stop it freezing or going blank I have to double click the home button and swipe (close) the open apps every day as if more than a couple open in the background the iPad freezes. Also in settings, I go into Safari and close all sites visited.
Have you tried this?

Thank you clivespana and grahamR, I’ve checked settings, got battery usage, lessened the brightness and deleted all my site history - it’s showing 100% at the moment so I’ll see what happens.
