Gas bottles

Postby leslie thorpe » Tue Oct 09, 2018 12:23 pm

Have just bought a portable gas heater and it has an orange butane gas bottle. Where is the best place to exchange for a full bottle ?

Any Repsol garage or your local hardware shop if they stock them. The prices are government regulated and are all the same, although some may charge a few cents admin charge on top.

Repsol garages, Don De, Quesada Gas, DIY store by Gama in Dona Pepa. Just a few places that do the orange ones.

You cannot buy an extra bottle from the outlets that exchange bottles, full for empty.
The best way is to advertise for one on here. The CEPSA bottles are better as they are lighter.

You can buy bottles from many outlets. I bought a CEPSA one from the BP garage near Zenia Boulevard. At the time you had to fill out a contract agreement, but I’ve been told recently that this is not needed (although I don’t know if this is true).

However, it’s usually easier and cheaper to buy second hand. Pop along to the car boot sale at El Moncayo on a Saturday morning and you’ll have plenty of choice at around €10 each.

Pete.
