As you were told to come back in 6 months then you will only have the temporary SIP cards as a non-resident.
You will automatically be registered so just go along with the card to the health centre and you can make an appointment.
It's just like using the EHIC but you haven't got to go through the filling of the forms in each time you go along.

Thanks Marcliff , we have an appointment in about a months time for our residency, so hopefully we’ll get a permanent card next time.

Yes its about 500m north of the private one, a bit more than 'next door' lol

The best thing to do is check the number of days you are here and work out your medication for that period. My technology isn't very good but my maths are quite adequate for this

The only problem is when you are out here for 5 1/2 months and the doctor's in the UK will only give you a prescription for 3 months maximum!

Hi both myself and hubby are on rampril and just go to chemist and get them for a months supply €2.10 I also get Tramadol which is a controlled drug in England for less then three euro the chemist in Benijofar are really good.Regards Jules

Hi there go to a chemist take the box and ask them how much for medication my husband ran out of Ramapril last year and we paid 5euros for a pack of 28 tabs. We were on holiday in Benidorm but sure your local chemists can help you Good Luck.
