It is not essential to have a lawyer when selling your house you can even use the lawyer that the buyer uses but I would advise that you do use one if there is anything complicated about the sale most lawyers work on a percentage of the sale price between 1 and 2%

A few years ago I sold an appartment in Spain before buying a house in ?Spain. I seem to recall an amount was deducted from the sake price and used to pay any outstanding charges, oroart charges, if you don’t have a solicitor who holds this money?ho checks with the various organisations that all debts gave been paid?

Strongly recommend use of a lawyer instead of a solicitor and one that is independent of the agent u use to sell. Reasons being, lawyers have the qualifications and are more likely to keep everything legal. And no I am not saying all ‘solicitors’ do illegal things, but from my own bad experiences, I say why take the risk when a qualified lawyer doesn’t cost any more than a someone calling themselves a solicitor. Email a couple and get a price confirmed before you even start. good luck in what ever you decide.

I use ABC Lawyers in Punta Prima and if you need to sell through an agent I recommend www.spanishproperty.team

I have numbers but not sure if site will let me give them.

Good luck with everything.

It is not essential to have a lawyer when it cums to selling your Property here in Spain you can do it your self, our Lawyer would normally take 1%.
