You can get some nice looking ones now! also you can get some that will burn wood & pellets. The also do some that will work even if the power fails this is dependent on the flue installation though, if I did not have a log burner I would definitely consider one.

Frederick at KVA will be able to give you all the information without obligation, his knowledge on heating and cooling is great. His price can include everything or just supply. They are based in Almoradi along the road with all the furniture shops. One good thing though is if you require any license for anything he will sort this too.

We had one fitted a month ago - would not without it. Easy to use, economic and easy to clean. It like having a fan heater on steroids! Heats the whole house by natural convection.

If you put in one, put in a good one, they are expensive but no regrets after about heating and possibilities. A good thing but with also ....
Disadvantage: a lot of dust in the house, a lot less with central heating.
Carying bags 15kg in and out, storage, cleaning every day...
Getting older i wouldn't buy it again

If you get one worth investing in one of these dedicated ash vac, rely helps with cleaning there are many different ones available this is just an example
