Bass player

Hi! Is there anyone local looking for a bass player? Having retired early I've moved permanently to the area recently from the UK where for the last ten years or so I played in semi pro bands, mainly rock/pop/blues covers.
Good gear and transport. Help! I'm missing it!

Hi Julian.
Maybe a good idea to visit the local jam sessions .
Good way to make contacts with fellow musicians . A few bands have been created this way .
J.R's Country club , and Reflections , San Luis have sunday afternoon sessions .
You'd only need to take your Bass , as amplification is already there .

If you sing , that would be very much an advantage , as Bass players with vocals , are in short supply .

Thanks Belcat. Much appreciated. I'm a terrible singer unfortunately.

Hi Julian, got to agree with 'belcat', the jamming sessions sound ideal for you.
Check out The Big Jam Quesada on t'internet for details of venues, times etc. Always well attended and a great atmosphere.
Best of Luck!!

Look up...The Big Jam...on Facebook...they run open jams on Thursday, Saturday’s and Sunday’s..Sunday’s is JRs country club...4 till 7...

There is another jam at Reflections bar, San Luis...Sunday’s 2.30 - 5-30....

There is also another jam at The Archers in Quesada on Thursday’s evenings...I will be there on Thursday...I’m a pro keyboard player...

Plenty of bass players around but not pro level.....except Marty Prior and Timo Lehtonen....these guys are the best....Marty toured with Cockney Rebel recently...
