Mains powered 12v car power supply wanted

wanted so I can use a car cigarette supply in the house.

just buy a battery pack, charged up on mains , people use them for jump starting there cars and also as a mobile power source for leisure pursuits they have 12volt outlets on them so you can plug in etc , I,ve seen them in carrefour and car supply places halfords etc also aviable on the net.

It depends on the amps you need on the 12v side 5/6/8 or more. What do you intend to use on it?

What you want is called an inverter I have a small one in the car about the size of a beer can, I also have one on my boat that produces 3 kilo watts enough to power a washing machine. Im sure amazon have them, just make sure that it is big enough for purpose

Jasmith needs to transform 240v ac to 12V dc and only needs 1.5 amps. I think an inverter works the opposite way?

Look in the Chinese shops, or MediaMarkt.

I bought one a few years ago to check out routes on my sat. nav. before making a journey.
It is 3.5 " long, 2" wide and 1.5" deep so it is quite small and neat. It just plugs into your power socket.
It is a T'nB AC/DC adapter, input 110- 240v AC 50 - 60 Hz 150 mA, output 12 DC 1A.
I cannot remember where I bought it from but it was probably Carrefour because they stock all sorts of adapters and leads for various types of equipment.

Please don’t buy electrical items from the Chinese shops as they are too cheap for a reason and potentially dangerous.

Looked at the Chinese shop but they only seem to have usb for 12v to 5 volt. Also mains adaprots are only usb.
Thanks for advice but still don’t have one. No time for Amazon alas but will try Carrafore

That's a bold statement seeing as a heck of a lot of electrical products are manufactured in China including most of the Apple computer range
