DANGEROUS DOGS

DANGEROUS DOGS

Postby JOHNNOBEV » Wed Jan 23, 2019 7:00 am

Does anyone know if the German Shepherd (Alsatian) is still classed as a dangerous dog in the Valenciana Communidad and Spain as a whole?
I know it was quite a few years ago.
However, we have friends coming over in the near future and they would like to know, so they don’t fall foul of the law.
Any information would be appreciated.

Hi just looked on CAB site and they suggest ringing the Town hall because some areas Alsatians are on the list other areas they're not on list. Hope that helps. Jules

In my opinion they should be. We have one by us and the woman can hardly hold it. It has attacked my spaniel. 90% of those I’ve met have had social issues and so have their owners.

In general it's not the dogs it's their owners who don't have any idea of how to look after them, very much like no bad children just bad parenting

Polop good post we know loads of german shepherds who are lovely...love them as a breed. It is the owners that are in need of training. Going back to subject....best thing is to check with town hall if they are classed as ppp. Good luck

Hi I agree with polop there's no such thing as a "bad" dog it is indeed the owner is the problem get one bad owner and the breed ends up being tarred with the same brush!

We’ve just rescued a German Shepherd 3 months ago and she is adorable, gentle, loyal and such a lovable dog. What a shame some people allow their German Shepherds to attack another dog and give all GS’s a bad name.
