Electrical certificate

Electrical certificate

Postby Chrisdee » Wed Jan 23, 2019 3:39 pm

Spoke to my dad this morning and he's been reading in the paper something about houses needing a electrical certificate and one for the pool? I haven't seen the article, does anybody know anything about it?

I've just looked it up and apparently you do need this certificate, it lasts for 20 years and costs between 100-150 euros ??

That's good to hear, sometimes these papers put the fear of Christ in you. When I'm passing I'll pop into Iberdrola and double check, cheers

I had to get one when I rented my house out, never thought you needed one otherwise!

I do not think that you need to get one unless you are selling your property.

I've been into Iberdrola this morning and they say you do not need these certificates, you only need one if you want to upgrade the amount of electricity you receive, we receive 5.5 (something like that) have had it all done legally by Iberdrola many years ago so all is well. She said somebody is trying to make some money by claiming you need this certificate.
